The second and third quarters of 2021 witnessed an unprecedented outbreak and complex developments of the COVID-19 pandemic across Vietnam. Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and 18 other southern provinces and cities were required to implement social distancing measures under Directive 16 for several months. Key industrial development provinces in the North, including Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Hai Phong, and Quang Ninh, also faced significant challenges as COVID-19 spread rapidly across the country.
During this difficult period, many factories and manufacturing facilities were forced to temporarily suspend production or operate at limited capacity. Numerous companies within service supply chains concentrated in major cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City were forced to close, dissolve, or adapt to the unprecedented challenges brought about by the pandemic.
Nevertheless, with clear strategic direction, strong confidence, and the tremendous efforts of the Board of Management and all employees — working remotely across our offices and under the “Three-on-the-Spot” model at ongoing construction sites — Koastal Eco Group continued to receive strong trust and support from our valued Investors.
As a result, Koastal Eco Group was consecutively awarded six major projects across Vietnam during Q2 and Q3, with a combined contract value of more than VND 200 billion.
After the first three quarters of 2021, Koastal Eco Group had secured 11 medium- and large-scale projects, with the total value of signed contracts exceeding VND 500 billion.
Among these projects, the design and construction of centralized industrial park WWTPs remained a key strength of Koastal Eco, with six newly signed projects, bringing the total number of centralized industrial park wastewater treatment contracts undertaken by the Group to 54.
In addition, Koastal Eco continued to secure and actively implement industrial wastewater treatment projects across other key sectors, including Food & Beverage, Livestock Farms, Poultry Slaughterhouses, and other industries throughout Vietnam.
