In July 2024, a delegation led by Mr. Andi Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Agriculture of Indonesia, visited and held a working session at the TH Dairy Farm Cluster No. 1 Wastewater Treatment System in Nghe An Province.
The visit marked an important occasion for cooperation and experience sharing between the two countries in the field of wastewater treatment, particularly in the treatment of wastewater generated from livestock farming.
With a capacity of 2,500 m³/day, the TH Dairy Farm Cluster No. 1 Wastewater Treatment System was implemented by Koastal Eco as the Main Contractor. The system was completed and officially put into operation in December 2023. Since then, it has attracted considerable attention and received high appreciation from industry professionals for its impressive scale and ability to treat complex livestock wastewater.
The delegation led by Indonesian Minister of Agriculture Mr. Andi Amran Sulaiman visits and works at the TH Dairy Farm Cluster No. 1 Wastewater Treatment System.
1. Koastal Eco – A Trusted Partner in Large-Scale Dairy Farm Wastewater Treatment
Koastal Eco Group can be considered one of the few companies in Vietnam with extensive experience in treating wastewater from large- and very large-scale dairy farming operations.
To date, TH Group, the Investor, has placed its trust in Koastal Eco and awarded the company six wastewater treatment projects, including:
- TH Dairy Farm Cluster No. 1 Wastewater Treatment System – Capacity: 2,500 m³/day
- TH Dairy Farm Cluster No. 2 Wastewater Treatment System – Capacity: 2,000 m³/day
- Dalat Milk High-Tech Dairy Farm Wastewater Treatment System – Capacity: 1,600 m³/day
- TH Thanh Hoa Dairy Farm Wastewater Treatment System – Capacity: 1,600 m³/day
- TH Phu Yen High-Tech Dairy Farm Wastewater Treatment System – Total capacity: 1,500 m³/day; Phase 1: 750 m³/day
- TH Dairy Farm Cluster No. 3 Wastewater Treatment System – Capacity: 1,200 m³/day
2. Wastewater Treatment Process at the TH Dairy Farm Cluster No. 1
Wastewater generated from the dairy farming operations at TH Farm 1 is collected by TH Group, the Investor, and pumped to a manure separation system to remove a significant amount of solid waste from the wastewater stream. Following the solid-liquid separation process, the wastewater is conveyed to the wastewater treatment system for further treatment.
The treated wastewater meets the National Technical Regulation on Livestock Wastewater – QCVN 62-MT:2016/BTNMT, Column B, Kq = Kf = 0.72. The system can also be upgraded to meet Column A requirements in the future if required by the Investor, without relying on costly and environmentally less friendly treatment technologies such as Advanced Oxidation Process (Fenton) and Reverse Osmosis (RO).
