The year 2021 was an exceptionally challenging year for the Vietnamese economy. According to various economic reports, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the national economy was estimated at up to VND 847 trillion, equivalent to approximately USD 37 billion – a significant loss by any measure. More than four months of social distancing across 19 southern provinces and cities directly affected every aspect of Vietnam’s economy. Yet, despite the dark clouds brought by the pandemic, many positive signs began to emerge in the final months of the year as the economy gradually regained momentum.
Sharing in this renewed optimism, Koastal Eco Group successfully achieved its targets across all business areas, finishing 2021 on a remarkable high note with annual revenue reaching VND 574.4 billion.
Throughout 2021, numerous medium- and large-scale projects were awarded to Koastal Eco Group by our valued Investors. Among them were seven centralized industrial park wastewater treatment plants (centralized industrial park WWTPs), bringing the total number of centralized industrial park WWTP projects implemented by Koastal Eco to 57 projects at that time, including:
- Centralized Textile Dyeing Wastewater Treatment Plant at Minh Hung Sikico Industrial Park, Binh Phuoc Province – Phase 1 capacity: 10,000 m³/day (Koastal Eco’s 50th centralized industrial park WWTP);
- Centralized Wastewater Treatment Plant at Bac Tien Phong Industrial Park, Quang Ninh Province – Module 1 capacity: 4,500 m³/day (51st centralized industrial park WWTP);
- Clean Water Supply Plant at Minh Hung Sikico Industrial Park, Binh Phuoc Province – Capacity: 6,000 m³/day;
- Wastewater Treatment System for Japfa’s Slaughterhouse, Binh Phuoc Province – Capacity: 4,850 m³/day;
- Wastewater Treatment System for DN99 Rubber Glove Factory, Binh Phuoc Province – Phase 1 capacity: 1,400 m³/day;
- Phase 3 Wastewater Treatment Plant at VSIP Bac Ninh Industrial Park, Urban and Service Complex – Capacity: 5,000 m³/day (52nd centralized industrial park WWTP);
- Upgrade and New Construction of the Centralized WWTP at Khai Quang Industrial Park, Vinh Phuc Province – Module 1 capacity increased to 7,000 m³/day (53rd centralized industrial park WWTP);
- Phase 2 Centralized WWTP at Amata Song Khoai Industrial Park, Quang Ninh Province – Capacity: 4,000 m³/day (54th centralized industrial park WWTP);
- Phase 1 Centralized WWTP at Du Long Hoa Sen Industrial Park, Ninh Thuan Province – Capacity: 3,000 m³/day (55th centralized industrial park WWTP);
- Construction of Priority 2 Tertiary Sewerage Networks under the Coastal Cities Sustainable Environment Project – Quy Nhon City Subproject, funded by the World Bank;
- Centralized WWTP at Minh Duc Industrial Park, Hung Yen Province – Capacity: 2,500 m³/day (56th centralized industrial park WWTP);
- Centralized WWTP and RO-based Wastewater Reuse System at Xay Da Industrial Cluster – Module 1 capacity: 3,750 m³/day (57th centralized industrial park WWTP).
These achievements were made possible by the tireless efforts of the entire Koastal Eco Group leadership team and all employees, who worked relentlessly and made the most of every remaining moment of 2021 to accomplish the goals we had set.
As a year filled with challenges and unprecedented changes came to an end, looking back on our journey, we gained valuable lessons in both life and work. Above all, we were reminded of one important truth: challenges make us stronger and help us grow when we have the courage to confront and overcome them.
Having successfully navigated through 2021 with greater resilience and determination, Koastal Eco Group now enters 2022 with renewed confidence and ambitious expectations, joining the nation in its optimism as the Vietnamese economy moves toward a strong recovery.
Our goal of successfully realizing the three-year vision set for 2021–2023 is now closer than ever.
