Koastal Eco Honored to Receive the Contract Award Letter for the “Khai Quang Industrial Park Centralized Wastewater Treatment Plant – Module 2 – 14,000 m³/day”

Koastal Eco Group first partnered with Vinh Phuc Infrastructure Development Company in 2018, when Koastal Eco was appointed as the Main Contractor for Module 3, with a capacity of 4,000 m³/day, at Khai Quang Industrial Park, utilizing advanced Improved SBR technology.

At that time, Khai Quang Industrial Park had two existing wastewater treatment modules: Module 1 with a capacity of 2,000 m³/day and Module 2 with a capacity of 4,000 m³/day, both using conventional A/O technology.

Designed and constructed using advanced Improved SBR technology, Module 3 delivered excellent treated effluent quality prior to discharge into the environment, achieving Column A requirements under QCVN 40:2011/BTNMT, while recording exceptionally low operating costs. The system was officially accepted and handed over to the Investor in December 2019.

After more than a year of operation, the Investor recognized the outstanding advantages and significant benefits delivered by Koastal Eco’s Improved SBR technology. In mid-2021, the Investor decided to award Koastal Eco another contract to completely demolish the existing Module 1 and construct a new system using Improved SBR technology, with a capacity of 7,000 m³/day, within the existing footprint.

Module 1 has now been operating stably with exceptionally low operating costs comparable to Module 3 and was officially accepted and handed over by the Investor in mid-December 2022.

Building on the successful operation of Modules 1 and 3, Koastal Eco is honored to have recently received a Contract Award Letter from Vinh Phuc Infrastructure Development Company, appointing Koastal Eco as the Main Contractor for the demolition and reconstruction of Module 2, with a capacity of 14,000 m³/day.

Upon completion, the project will increase the total capacity of the Khai Quang Industrial Park Centralized Wastewater Treatment Plant to 25,000 m³/day, with all modules utilizing Koastal Eco’s Improved SBR technology.

The construction contract for Module 2 brings the total number of centralized industrial park wastewater treatment plant contracts undertaken by Koastal Eco to 63, further demonstrating the outstanding advantages of Improved SBR technology over conventional treatment technologies, including:

• More than 35% reduction in footprint.
• 40% lower electricity operating costs.
• Simplified operation, with lower manpower and maintenance requirements.
