Koastal Eco Group<\/strong> closed out the challenging yet remarkable year of 2021 with outstanding results, achieving nearly VND 600 billion in revenue<\/strong> and, most notably, successfully completing and handing over two wastewater treatment projects for the TH True Milk Dairy Farm No. 3 in Nghe An and the Newhope Swine Farm in Binh Phuoc<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Both systems achieved treated effluent quality meeting Column A requirements (Kq = Kf = 0.9) under QCVN 62-MT:2016\/BTNMT<\/strong>, exceeding the original requirements specified for the projects.<\/p>\n

According to the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports, both projects were initially required to treat wastewater to Column B under QCVN 62-MT:2016\/BTNMT<\/strong>. However, driven by the strong environmental commitments of the two Investors, TH Group and Newhope<\/strong>, toward sustainable development, together with their confidence in the capabilities and commitments of Koastal Eco Group<\/strong>, both projects were required to achieve Column A standards instead of Column B<\/strong> as originally specified in the EIA.<\/p>\n

This requirement represented both a great honor and a significant challenge for the Koastal Eco<\/strong> team. At that time, there were no large-scale livestock wastewater treatment systems in Vietnam \u2014 and even globally \u2014 that had demonstrated the ability to consistently meet such stringent requirements.<\/p>\n

After 12 months of commissioning and optimization<\/strong> for the TH dairy farm wastewater treatment system and 8 months<\/strong> for the Newhope swine farm system, the systems underwent 12 rigorous rounds of sampling and testing<\/strong> conducted by the Investors and relevant authorities.<\/p>\n

In December 2021 and January 2022<\/strong>, Koastal Eco Group<\/strong> was honored to receive approval from both Investors, TH and Newhope, for the official acceptance and handover of the systems. The treated effluent consistently achieved Column A requirements under QCVN 62-MT:2016\/BTNMT<\/strong>, in accordance with the signed contracts, while maintaining reasonable operating costs and stable treatment performance.<\/p>\n

To achieve these results, Koastal Eco Group<\/strong> applied proven biological treatment technologies, combining CSTR anaerobic treatment<\/strong> with an Oxidation Ditch aerobic treatment process<\/strong> to effectively remove biodegradable organic pollutants from manure-rich livestock wastewater.<\/p>\n

This treatment approach offers several advantages. The systems require lower chemical consumption<\/strong>, while the resulting sludge can be collected and transferred to an organic fertilizer production line<\/strong> when meeting the necessary conditions. This creates an additional potential revenue stream for the Investor while reducing the cost of excess sludge management at the WWTP.<\/p>\n

Another outstanding feature of the technology designed by Koastal Eco<\/strong> is its significantly lower land requirement<\/strong>, using only approximately 20\u201330% of the land area required by conventional biogas-based treatment systems<\/strong>. This allows Investors to allocate more land for livestock facilities and, where necessary, develop additional feedstock production areas.<\/p>\n

To date, Koastal Eco Group<\/strong> is proud to have successfully completed and handed over two livestock wastewater treatment projects \u2014 one for dairy farming and one for swine farming<\/strong> \u2014 achieving Column A under QCVN 62<\/strong> while maintaining reasonable operating costs.<\/p>\n

These achievements serve as strong evidence of Koastal Eco Group\u2019s capabilities in research and development, the application of advanced and challenging treatment technologies, and our long-term commitment to environmental protection in Vietnam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This is particularly meaningful for industries characterized by highly polluted wastewater streams, such as livestock farming, where effective and sustainable wastewater treatment remains a major environmental challenge.<\/p>\n
